Samsung is bringing hardware blockchain wallet support to its Galaxy devices. The update will allow those who trade virtual assets from third-party wallets to do so from the Samsung Blockchain Wallet on their devices.
Samsung’s Blockchain Wallet is effectively a central point for those managing multiple assets across various wallets. Users can connect to, import, and manage supported wallets and currencies through Samsung’s solution. This includes “Bitcoin, Ethereum, ERC tokens, Tron (TRX), and TRC tokens,” the company announced in a release.
Debuting on the Galaxy S10 series in 2019, the Wallet uses Samsung’s Knox security platform. It can also access DApps on the Samsung Blockchain Keystore framework.

Samsung notes that devices running Android 9 Pie or newer will support the update, but this does not include all of its phones in all regions. Interestingly, the Galaxy A51 5G, S10 Lite, and the Galaxy A71 are among those that do. You can find a complete list of supported devices and cryptocurrencies here.
